Steve, G0KYA has produced a set of hour-by-hour propagation predictions for the RSGB's HF SSB Field Day on 6 and 7 September. The predictions, in the form of a 22 megabyte PDF, show propagation maps for each of the best three bands for each hour and also have a short commentary on what to look out for. It also includes a Great Circle map for those with beams. Steve, who is secretary of the Propagation Studies Committee, says that the PDF was produced for the Norfolk Amateur Radio Club to encourage newcomers to HF contesting, giving them a feel for how the bands change through the contest.
