Earlier this year a questionnaire was sent to all clubs and affiliated societies, asking about their capability with regard to Public Service and Emergency Communications, with an opportunity to request additional help or services from the RSGB.

A summary will be published in the October RadCom (due out in September), but one of the main issues raised concerned insurance for RSGB Groups. A meeting is to be held with our brokers to alter the cover as you have requested but meanwhile, if you are a RSGB RAYNET Group wishing to involve 'outsiders' on an event, please ensure that you make them temporary members first—they should then be considered part of the Group as far as insurance goes, both for Public Liability and Personal Accident cover.
