Additional GB2RS newsreaders are needed to join the teams already reading on 5MHz at 12.30 hours and on Top Band at 21.30 hours. Also, because the London area readings on 145.525MHz at 10.00 and 12.00 hours have now been discontinued, a single reading at say 11.00 hours is being considered. The RSGB already has some volunteers as assistant readers but one or two main readers are needed before this schedule can be introduced. 2 metre volunteers need to be in the London area or nearby Home Counties and all readers must be members of the RSGB.
